In
90 percent of the population, the lower jaw
is not an optimal position which causes facial
muscles to be "unhappy" where they
are situated. The PPM is based
on the concepts of neuromuscular dentistry,
a science developed by Dr. Bernard Jankelson
that incorporates the muscles, nerves, and supporting
structures of the mouth, in order to improve
jaw and muscle ligament. Neuromuscular destistry
focuses on the physical connection between the
range of motion of these muscles and joints,
and your body posture. |

Your
PPM certified dentist determines the best possible
jaw position through computerized tracking of
your jaw. A TENS (Transcutaneous
Electro Neural Stimulation) machine is used
to help relax your muscles, putting them in
their most comfortable position. When your facial
muscles arein this position, your PPM is fitted,
thus returning your muscles to this relaxed
position when the mouthguard is worn. When your
jaw is in its optimal position, as it is when
wearing your specifically made PPM, the muscles
are no longer stressed, thus giving you the
best bite along with the added benefits of improved
balance, and increased upper body strength.

By helping to properly align and relax
muscles in the face, the PPM mouth
guard improves muscle recruitment and
vertebrae alignment. The result:
improved strength and balance.
• Whether you're looking for better
balance on the ice, a more fluid and
powerful golf swing, a higher
vertical leap on the basketball court
or
greater results from strength
training, the PPM mouthguard can help
you
achieve your potential! |
